0.1 Welcome to Continuum

Continuum is a philosophical construct that is based on amalgamation of original ideas, hypotheses and spiritual concepts, current scientific theories and philosophical propositions combined together to offer a new and unique model of our reality. This new model - the Continuum Model of Reality (CMR) which I have spent the last two decades of my life developing - proposes an interpretation of our reality that is entirely cyclic in nature. As the name implies, it offers a reality that operates with rules and laws not based on linear time, but rather a continuum of connected fragments of reality composed in an infinitely repeating, holographic sequence and connected by a unified, intelligent field of consciousness where moments of the past and future all coexist in the perpetual present moment. A reality where all aspects within it exist as the cogs and integral components of a grand machine of creation charged with its own self-imposed, eternal task amidst an infinite cyclic continuum. The CMR encompasses all of life’s constituents from the conscious mind to the neural network of the universe with all of its inherent complexities and conundrums, and links every facet with one simple overarching mechanism that underpins it all. From this perspective, you will come to understand the universe not as an endless expanse of cold nothingness, but as a living organism in a divine dance of repetition. A synchronised symphony of expansion and contraction that perpetuates the grand and multidimensional cycle of life.

On an individual scale, it suggests that we are in fact eternal souls and every human experience we have is an opportunity to gain a brief glimpse of the cycle’s progression. On a universal scale, this perspective implies that if the potential exists that a human being could reincarnate through transmigration of the soul, then so too could the universe be conforming to its own grand version of this very same process. Upon the completion of such a cycle, each one lasting an inconceivable number of aeons, the vessel within which our entire reality is contained contracts back into a single point from whence it came, only to start again. This starting point manifests as what we have come to know as The Big Bang, or in the CMR, the Great Expansion. The eventual migration towards its end point occurs during an event that is defined by the reversal of the expansion of the universe, and the beginning of The Great Contraction. Our physical reality essentially follows the movement of a universal cycle of cosmic inhalation and exhalation that has no beginning and will have no end.

Continuum puts forward a unified model of reality where, in addition to the already established knowledge and understanding humanity possesses about the universe and our place in it, the existence of souls and the afterlife, paranormal phenomena including the ability to connect directly to our past and future selves from the present moment, and even the proposition of the existence of infinite versions of reality are not just a possibility, they form the very substrate upon which everyday life can exist. I aim to illuminate the possibility that our consciousness is not just the result of the integrated constructs of our physiology, but that it originates from somewhere and somewhen beyond this physical reality along a holographic continuum, and the only reason why mainstream science doesn't wholly accept the concept of the soul or spirit is not because it isn't real, yet simply because we have yet to conceive the requisite technology to measure its formless presence within the boundaries of a reality defined by form. Based on this model, you may come to find that these seemingly far fetched concepts are in fact so vital to the building blocks of reality as to be fundamental laws without which existence could not come into being.

The goal of Continuum, first and foremost, is to expand your understanding of your place in this world and the universe through a synthesised framework of ideas. There is no prior knowledge required to understand its content other than what you have accumulated so far by simply being human and your own first-hand experience of your reality. If, after reading Continuum, you are able to take just one thing that aids you in making sense of some of life's mysteries and phenomena, perhaps even your place in the cosmos, then it has done its job.

What I have presented in Continuum is the resultant fruition of interpreting over two decades of first-hand experiences as a human being seeking answers through a path of artistic expression, scientific study, psychedelic exploration and self-realisation through a vast range of spiritual practices and deep contemplation.

Continuum is not a religion but it may help to elucidate age-old religious contradictions; it is not intended to replace any areas of the current scientific model although it does attempt to challenge them; and despite the all-encompassing nature of its theme, it is not proposed as a way of viewing the world we live in to the exclusion of all others. Rather, it is designed to complement the combined body of knowledge that is already available and, if at all possible, bridge the enduring void that separates the borders of science and spirituality.

My personal belief is that the answers to all of life’s greatest questions lie somewhere in the middle of the two extremes of a continuum of science and spirituality.  The ultimate goal of the CMR is to cast a broad light on some of the greatest questions of all by expanding your mind with new perspectives and possibilities on what might be. To get you thinking out of the box and always keep wondering what if?; and above all, to inspire you to always question everything you are told, for this is the only way we can reward ourselves with the truth.
